The One That Got Away Wow Quest

I hoped they could sort things out. The One That Got Away utterly blew me away. It was a delightful romantic comedy that had me laughing and smiling from start to finish. This is a dual POV story, which is something I have always been fond of, and Rixon made both characters feel extremely raw and gripping. OK, characters - I love Benjamin. This was so much darker than I expected it to be, even knowing from the description that it involved some heavy stuff. From there, you must click on the bobber to reel it in. Wowhead tbc the one that got away. It was literally at the 88 percent mark that it was finally revealed.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC; all opinions are my own! Relationships have huge ups and downs and with each encounter be they romantic, friend or family, nothing was sugar-coated. The not knowing was something else here, I would've read this book in a single sitting if I had had the time.

Ben and Clara tell their story over alternating time periods from when they met at university to the present. Read this if you like: Second Chance Romance. I'm especially sad for Benjamin and the events that unfolded but I'm happy he persevered. It was nice to get the background knowledge of what Clara and Benjamin's relationship was first like and all throughout the book I was just hoping things would work out. I remember being a neurotic teenager very well. When we are accepted for a NetGalley book, we received an e-mail saying the book is available on the platform and, in this case, this e-mail said which are the trigger warnings for this book. Much like the title suggests it's about a couple who didn't end up together and realising that their life would have been so much better if they had stuck it out. This book is not that. But, they felt authentic to me. It was the kind of book that makes me want to stand on a rooftop and shout how amazing it is to the whole world! I loved them with their flaws. Overall the book was nice. I received this advanced right from the start it had me hooked. It's not often authors let their characters be less then perfect. Clara and Benjamin's contrasting backgrounds and characters worked together really well and the sense of conflict between them built brilliantly to the event that tore them apart. Thank you for the ARC! So many difficult topics were tackled, including emotional abuse, grief, mental health and alcoholism, which made this such a hard-hitting book. The one that got away wow power leveling. Such a great story and I loved the characters and couldn't wait to see where it went!! Overall I really liked this book. You'll want me back right away. It's a story about the power of first love, the repercussions of mistakes that are made, and how a tragic incident can bring people back together. All 5 quests offer the same reward: a Bag of Fishing Treasures. It's beautifully written, emotional and has some shocking twists and turns. An engaging read with a multilayered plot. It had me turned pages without even realizing. The dual timeline, moving from Clara and Ben's university years, to the current day, when both are middle-aged and been damaged by life's cruelties, is just perfect. This is not a second chance romance, this is the heartfelt story of life. Now all the books have been read. It is a truth universally acknowledged that anyone who reads this book will find it absolutely stunning and unforgettable!

The book has a dual POV narration that alters between present day and the past. At the beginning, this book felt like I was watching a late 90's movie, I don't even know how to explain the feel, but I absolutely adored it. The story is extremely slow paced as far as romance is concern, which is something I don't tend to appreciate but I really did appreciate here. Flawed but completely loveable. Thank you to NetGalley and Aria & Aria for the opportunity to read early. I found the characters to be really likeable, and really human. To continue, you will have to move to Dustwallow Marsh, so all players can benefit from choosing starting zones on Kalimdor. Rixon brilliantly uses a literal inciting incident to put the once-lovers back into each other's lives with the years between them presenting both challenge, opportunity, and sense that time was not on their side -- and neither were they ready for it to be.

There were a few twists which I did predict but it didn't ruin the story or suspense for me. All the characters were quite relatable, making it easy to understand their POVs and feel for them through out the many highs and lows they each faced through out the story. One of the things I enjoyed about this was the fact there were twists and turns that weren't overplayed for dramatic effect but kept you guessing. And then the glimpses of the in between that even further deepen the story, their story. I do think there should be a TW for sexual assault at the beginning of the book for future readers. The chapters are short and I liked that because as soon as I came to a new one I kept repeating oh just one more. Lucky Fishing Hat or Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat.
