This is truly where Cat Rector excels in The Goddess of Nothing at All: Bringing a voice to the voiceless. We're covering a huge span of time here (we're dealing with immortal beings after all), and the author does a good job of skipping over months and even years when necessary without making you feel like you've missed anything important. 5 not because I felt it had major flaws, but some elements of the book that may work for others did not work for me. Cat handled the queerness of all the characters (especially Loki being genderfluid) in such a careful and heart-warming way. Either they are told in a detached way, enunciating fact after fact without question, or they are romanticised and stripped from their story.
